Mike's place is a MUST visit if you're in the area. We found it on a trip visiting from Australia and the place is so quaint, beautifully put together and still feels like it has a homely vibe. We absolutely loved it... And Pete is a legend ! Try his Boilo.

What a great place. This small bar is exceptional. Great staff, Pete and John, best bar tenders and they find really great bands. Even they do not serve food, you are welcome to bring your own. Great beer selection and amazing cocktails. A great place to hang out, enjoy and relax. If you havnt been there, you do not know what you are missing.

Love the atmosphere here, & the beer selection. Bartenders Eric & new guy, John are great! But the beer in cooler in the back was kinda warm. I could deal with it tho!

Great community. Excellent bar service (John). Wonderful source for music, but wouldn’t bring my family of kids here. It’s pretty tight dimension-wise. Regardless? Come get your shine on and trust you’ll have a good time and be surrounded by greatness.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon before a high school reunion with some friends. Greeted with "Make yourself at home" and welcomed by folks who were obviously the regulars. Very nice options of craft beer on tap (breweries included Maine Beer Co., Other Half, Toppling Goliath, Cigar City - plus Reading Premium and Guinness). Went with a couple beers for myself but I noticed some expertly-made cocktails served up as well - all at a great price. This was my first time here despite growing up about a mile away. Will definitely make a point to grab a drink or two at Mike's when I visit Reading in the future. Cheers!

How John handled the crowded bar by himself but served everyone like he had a full staff is seriously working hard. And then personable and friendly on top of that. The bar was friendly and plenty of bar seating as well as tables. The music was The Benjamin Vo Band featuring Lucian D'Stair who is a very talented keyboard player. The band was in the zone from song #1 throughout the entire evening. The individual solos were incredible with Ben on guitar, Jare on the drums, and Schroeder on the keys, then playing off one another and feeding off the crowd. Blue's done right and with Soul!

Had a great experience at this little neighborhood bar. Super friendly staff and patrons. Live music on Saturdays and overt entertaining. Some local beers on tap and a knowledgeable bartender who will make anything you like. Bar was opened in the 30s and maintains the feel.
